My name is Olivia, I'm from a wicked small town in New Hampshire, USA and will soon be on my way to Uganda to serve 27 months in the Peace Corps. I am a friend, daughter, identical twin sister, girlfriend, niece, University of New Hampshire alumna, and Education Peace Corps Volunteer serving in Uganda from January 2015-January 2017. I have recently earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees through the University of New Hampshire with a main focus of elementary education. Outside of a classroom I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing volleyball, cooking/baking, reading ANYTHING about Harry Potter, and traveling to new (and old) places.
I chose the Peace Corps because in my senior year of college I was given the opportunity to travel to India during winter break. During my month long trip through this beautiful country, I learned more than I could have ever imagined I would and saw some incredible things. Needless to say, I got the travel bug. I knew immediately that I wanted to continue learning about different cultures and countries, while also helping people as much as I could. Peace Corps will allow me to do just that and then some. I am thrilled to be a part of such an inspiring organization.
